Degrees and Certifications:
Dr. Audra Pittman
Dr. Pittman has been serving the Bayshore Community since July, 2013. Prior to coming to BESD, Dr. Pittman served as the Director of Administrator and Beginning Teacher Support Services for the San Mateo County Office of Education after serving as the Coordinator of Educational Services. Dr. Pittman also worked in Los Angeles County serving as a principal for the La Cañada Unified School District, and assistant principal for both Long Beach Unified and Whittier Union High School District. Dr. Pittman began her experience in education as a high school math teacher and curriculum coach for the Long Beach Unified School District.
In addition to her years of experience in education, Dr. Pittman holds three degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education from the University of Evansville, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from California State University at Dominguez Hills, and a Ph.D. in Urban Education from Claremont Graduate University.
Dr. Pittman looks forward to maintaining the excellence of the BESD by highlighting school connectedness, raising academic achievement while closing the achievement gap, and providing basic services for our school community. Focusing on these goals will allow Dr. Pittman to meet the needs of all students and bring the best educational experience possible for our district.
